Was looking at new wood brand with the woodworking I do and they wanted $300 for a good electric one with my company logo. Well decided it was time to get a laser engraver instead for a bit more and I am very happy. Only took me about 30 minutes to get it assembled and burning the first project. Still learning the settings with different woods but have it burning my logo into my projects and so much more. Had it about a month now and even created a couple signs and have ideas for a lot of other things that go well with my woodworking projects. Already thinking about getting the extension kit and the air assist!
We purchased the xtool M1 to teach our 8 to 15 year olds. The software is simple and easy to use. Currently used every day. The M1 can do simple projects so we do not tie up our 2 co2 lasers. Have 4 M1 machines . Experienced 3 years with lightburn and 80 Watt co2s. We say xtool keep it simple.
After reviewing many different Diode Lasers on the market, the XTool D1 came at the top of the list from the experienced folks in the Laser industry. I found every review to be on point. When I first received the Laser, packaging tells a big story. The attention to detail there gives you a sense of confidence that the the machine will be of high quality standards. And I haven't been disappointed. Below are images of my very first projects I created using the Xtool along with the honeycomb panel. I've found this laser to be just what I needed for my future projects and they are endless. I am extremely happy with my laser, especially how easy it was to use right from the start. Can't wait to be selling some products to pay for the air assist add on.
Was struggling with the RA1. So I purchased the RA2 . What a difference. The chuck and jaw system is awesome. And being able to use the insede or on the outside of objects is wonderful..
Did my first few burns yesterday. Very, very impressive. The engraving was deeper than I imagined on wood with 70% power. It was precise, clean and wonderful. Looking forward to learning the new software to get better at my imagineering skills. I need to find a test scale to eliminate the burn marks!
This is my fist time using a laser cutter and I’m addicted. The results have been amazing and it’s the best gift I’ve ever gotten.
I like that it does not have any plastic parts. Was not too hard to assemble. Video helped a lot. I am enjoying it very much. I am a woodworker, so it just ups my game in that hobby now.
The air assist kit has been an excellent upgrade, completely eliminating discoloration and greatly reducing the risk of fire. The cuts are as clean as can be now. I had no issues with fitment and did not even need the tape or other solutions. My only small issue was that the shorter screw to attach the nozzle was missing from my package, however I had an appropriate screw in my toolbox. The pump runs smooth and strong, and setup was a breeze.
Originally got this machine to add customization to my woodworking projects but have found that the more I discover the less I'm doing in wood lol. Don't get me wrong, it does wonders for that but I've discovered so much more. Doesn't hurt that this machine is so solidly built either. If your on the fence go ahead and jump off and buy this bad boy, you won't be sorry.
If you're debating on spending the extra for the rotary attachment, do it. It works without any fuss as a machine of this price should. Below you can see some glasses I engraved on using cold galvanizing compound as a transfer compound.
I have done several projects with this so far and have been very impressed. My favorite has been the rubber stamps I made. They had incredible detail. The other is throwing my future brewery logo onto some of my aluminum cans. The only wish I have was that they just came out with another attachment to do odd shaped cylinders that I would love to get my hands on. Looking forward to it becoming available to buy separately.
As a beginner in this laser technology so i can try to make extra money on the side and you never know when you will need it. Im still getting the hang of it, since i only had it for a week. I made birthday invitations for my sons birthday party.
I've already dipped my hand in to engraving wood mirrors and a laptop...lol
I love this thing
And I thinking of doing custom flasks for all my brothers
We are a coffee shop that attempts to brand certain products such as t-shirts, hoodies and travel mugs pictured here. I would normally seek out someone to engrave our logo but it increases the product cost to the point of making the retail price too high. This year I decided to purchase an engraving device and somehow landed on your website. I love how these mugs turned out. Everything about this laser machine is solid and for anyone trying to have results similar to mine I don't think you'll be disappointed.
